As the leader of the Estonian beer market it is important for Saku Brewery to give its contribution towards the development of Estonian society, supporting sport, culture and helping our national undertakings to succeed.

Saku Brewery has a longstanding relationship with the Estonian Ski Association. As the main sponsor of the Estonian national cross country skiing team, Saku has helped our skiers achieve great results in world-class competitions and Olympic games.

TÜ Rock

For many consecutive years Saku has also been involved with supporting TÜ/Rock, the basketball team of the University of Tartu. TÜ/Rock has proven to be a tough match for any team on Estonian as well as European basketball courts.

Saku Suurhall

With the support of Saku Brewery, Saku Suurhall, Estonia‘s largest indoor concert and sporting event arena, is operated.

Tallinn 2011

In 2011, Tallinn is the European capital of culture. Saku brewery is the official sponsor of Tallinn 2011 and in order to celebrate the year of culture in style, a special edition of Saku Kuld is released.

To highlight other more important activities of Saku Brewery, we also have to mention the cultivation of the local beer culture. For the purpose of promoting beer culture, development of the best pub category for the gastronomy competition Silver Spoon and election of the best Estonian pub was started. In addition to that we also support within the same competition that is held under the aegis of Estonian Breweries Association, the prize given out in the category of beer serving. Saku Brewery is convinced that cultural beer consumption is very important and will continue to make its contribution towards that also in the future.

In addition to regular cooperation, Saku Brewery has greatly helped to improve life on a local level in Saku. With the help of Saku Brewery, the local kindergarten, school and activity centre, among other institutions, have received financial support. Furthermore, different entertainment events are organized together.

Since the summer of 2005, Saku town was named the Estonian capital of beer culture.
